Global change is one of the hot issues in the current research. Our research programs are designed to advance understanding of ecosystem ecology under the global environmental change.

Major issues we are interested in

(1) soil C and N cycling

(2) AMF responses to N inputs

(3)soil organic C stability

(4)plant community and plant stoichiometry.

We use field manipulative experiments in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and Loess Plateau to examine interactive effects of warming, fertilizing and precipitation (since 2014) on community structure and ecosystem functions.

Our research is highly multidisciplinary, employing techniques from soil sciences, plant physiology, biogeochemistry to improve our predictive understanding of terrestrial ecosystems in response to global change
