Our researches mainly focus on field ecosystem and grassland ecosystem in several typical stations, (Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Inner Mongolia, Jiangxi province). Depending on our interdisciplinary team and advanced technology, we are studying the responses of terrestrial ecosystems to the concurrent driving forces of global change as well as community diversity.

Some of the Laboratory’s principal technical objectives are:

1. Carbon & nitrogen cycling and global change

2. Biological Invasions, Biodiversity maintenance and community assembly

3. Soil minerals, geochemistry, and biogeochemistry
