郭辉，博士，南京农业大学副教授，博士生导师。2007-2009加州大学圣塔芭芭拉联合培养博士，2010年毕业于兰州大学获博士学位，2010-2013于复旦大学从事博士后研究，2017-2018于加州大学河滨分校从事访问交流。主要研究全球变化因子（如，温度增加、氮沉降、降雨改变等）对青藏高原高寒草甸植物生活史性状、群落动态、繁殖对策和植物-土壤反馈的影响及其作用机制。在Journal of Ecology, Soil Biology & Biochemistry, Land Degradation & Development, Oecologia, American Journal of Botany, Science of the Total Environment, Ecology & Evolution等期刊发表SCI论文20余篇，获得国家自然科学基金、江苏省自然科学基金和重点研发专项等项目资助。

报告人简介：

Dr. Weixing Zhu is a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University, SUNY. His research interests range from natural forests to human inhabited cities. Nitrogen biogeochemistry is his core interest. N is an essential element for life but a limiting nutrient in most natural ecosystems despite ample N2 in the atmosphere. Human activities accelerate the annual rate of N fixation more than two times and consequently affect ecosystems worldwide. Dr. Zhu is particularly interested in projects regarding the sources and quantity of N inputs into ecosystems, and N transfers and transformations within ecosystems, and pathways leading to the loss of N in ecosystems. The biological and human controls on these processes are addressed. His studies are mostly terrestrially based, but have been extended to wetlands and streams, thus forming a watershed research framework.
