报告人：Dr. Valerie Eviner in Plant Sciences at University of California, Davis

报告人简介：

Valerie Eviner 教授是当今生态学领域顶尖的生态学家之一，目前在加州大学戴维斯分校任职，主要从事生物多样性生态系统功能，研究植物土壤间相互作用机制，应用到生态系统管理，恢复，入侵，生态系统化进程，以及变化环境中的草地等方向的研究。先后在Nature、Trends in Ecology and Evolution、Ecology Letters、Ecology等生态学著名期刊发表论文多篇。现担任生态学会副主席，目前担任若干高级别杂志（Restoration Ecology等）的编辑并任职于多个学术团体。先后获得城市青年扩展奖（2015），加州气候和农业网络科学领导奖（2013），总统青年成就奖（2008）。

Introduction:

Valerie Eviner is one of the top ecologists in the field of invasive plant and working as associate professor of UC Davis. Her research mainly focuses on understanding the mechanisms of plant-soil interactions and applying this understanding to ecosystem management, restoration, invasions, ecosystem processes, and rangelands in a changing environment. Professor Eviner has published several papers on Nature、Trends in Ecology and Evolution、Ecology Letters、Ecology. From 2013, Dr. Eviner has been selected to be the vice president of Ecological Society of America, and now she is a member of Restoration Ecology editorial board and other advisory Boards. During her career, Professor Eviner has received Urban Youth Outreach Award(2015), California Climate and Agriculture Network Science Leadership Award(2013) and Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers(2008).
